UpMarket is Northern Trust's wealth management tool for individuals, families, or small business' with complex wealth. The UpMarket site is used to communicate Northern Trust's value proposition to those with great wealth. I worked with Northern's Design Lab to build this microsite. I was given desktop designs and I adapted them for smaller screens.
Private Passport is Northern Trust's online wealth management suite, encompassing comprehensive net worth views, portfolio management for your investments and trusts, and online banking. I worked with Northern's Design lab to help redesign Passport. Along with UX designers and visual designers I built a functional prototype using ReactJS to showcase the features the team wanted to include in the redesign.
Northern Trust manages investments for large corporations and municipalities. Because their clients can have assets distributed around the world the onboarding process can take anywhere from 3 months to 2 years. I worked with Northern Labs a Design/UX Research team inside Northern to build an onboarding application that would give clear insight into the process. I built a prototype in React to hightlight features based on user research to prove value in building a full application. I also built a living styleguide to give a head start to the development team.
I created a living style guide using KSSNode. KSSNode parses comments from sass and builds a documentation site for all of the components. Each component has HTML examples. Rather than using an off the shelf system like Bootstrap or Foundation building our own design systems for applications results in a better implementation. Those off the shelf design systems can be difficult to customize, large and overbearing. This style guide was used to give Northern's development team head start for the C&IS project.
Quikly is a marketing platform helping retailers and brands to drive traffic and sales over a short period of time. I was the lead Front-end developer for the redesign of the entire platform. Working with designers, back-end developers and business leads I helped lay a foundation that is still in place 3 years later.
You Know You Want A Truck was a microsite to promote the new Chevy Colorado and tie in to the ad campaign for the redesigned small truck. This site features heavy animation and large background videos. I was the sole developer on this project. The site launched a week earlier than planned because it was finished ahead of schedule.
Chevrolet wanted to promote their partnership with Manchester United and their "What do you #PlayFor" campaign. Chevrolet FC collects content from various social media platforms. The site supports 13 languages and is responsive.
When the 2014 Silverado HD launched Chevy wanted to showcase the new engine. Users can change weather conditions and incline to see what features the engine has to handle all terrains. The engine animations are JS and CSS for modern browsers with a Flash fallback for older ones.
YouBoard was a mood board creation tool. Users could enter multiple tags to search Instagram to generate a mood board and download as an image. Although a production version was never completed I created a full feature prototype. I enjoyed the chance to work with HTML5, Canvas, and other new features of modern browsers.
